q2:Linet Atieno's mother Rose was put behind bars for being offered a lift by a friend who happened to be a drug dealer and was flagged down at a police roadblock near Machakos town. This was a big blow to Linet and her sister Akinyi who fully relied on their mother for their upkeep as their father had passed away. These girls devastated and depressed and truly missed the connection with my mother, relatives and friends shunned them and they had to rely on manual jobs to feed themselves. Linet was lucky to be introduced to Life Bridge by a friend where she explained their plight to one of the trustees, Wairimu Kamau, who come to their aid. They cleared her fees balance and accommodated them, when her mother was released, Linet introduced her to this organisation too where she was assisted to resettle.

q2:Some neighbours in our place were in a hatred so one of the neighbours took the daughter of the other neighbour and raped her on the road at night. He injured her but in good luck he did't kill her.I reported with the girl at Kenyatta hospital for her treatment and then reported the case to the Kilimani police station but since i reported the case no action was taken, so i pwent to the chief and then to the human rights commision where the man was sentenced to five years in Jail The girl for now is undergoing treatment putting her school a side because the memories of the scene is still in her mind and is affecting the whole family.The girls family is living in fear because they may be attacked by the other victims family or friends.

q2: In a bid to Educate the girl child, Rising Voices is working hand in hand with the police in Wakiso to see to it that they are educated instead of being forced by their parents to get married without their consent. A lady by names of Nakayigi Rose says that Mr. Jjuuko had forced his daughter to get married because he wanted money but Rising voices intervened and the girl was rescued.

One day my mother was not please the way she overworked the girl and my mother decided to go to the police station to report the matter.
