q2: In December 2007 and early 2008 when tribal clashes rocked Kenya following the post Election Violence, there rose tension in my estate in BUSIA, as the state of insecurity rose.No one dared move out the house. Everyone was wacthing the events from the television. In my estate a concern rose among the village elders, sbchief and the chief on how to mantain peace, harmony among the Kikuyu, Luhya, Luo and other tribals and this was just the correct thing to do at the time. The tension cooled down and the strange feeling of hatred and discrimination was not that much as all the people embraced and regarded one another as a brother and sister. From that step there still prevails the love, peace and harmony in the estate irrespective of their tribes. The issue brought tension in the entire nation and strife and division among parliamentarians and something had to be done to solve the looming problem that paused a threat to peace and unity of the nation again.
In parliament the issue was put to debate the MP's from both side contributed in support of the sides. However the speaker well known as a new "solomon" Kenneth Marende couldn't make a ruling on the matter and so postponed his ruling to the following week. The following week and everyone was eager to hear what the speaker would rule. But the ruling was so shocking, unbelieving and extremely wise that no one had thought off.
