q2:My story talks about a organization which help youth in our slum. Many boys and girls in our slum had been involved in a bad company. Many boys a girls had dropped out of school because of drugs abuse. When this organization come it had helped many boys and girls in the slum. Boys and girls who had dropped out of school were taken back to school by this organization. People are greatful to this organization.

q2: I am Nancy Mulimi.I am a student at St. Mary's Mumias girls high school.During the holidays I had the priviledge of attending the BCC (behavour change) programme, organised by VIPEP, an NGO within Kakamega.I got to learn many things concerning sexuality being responsible,how to ensure peaceful co- existence in our community,treating the elderty, vices like drug abuse and alcohol taking and actually by the end of the whole session that lasted a week, I had gained alot to be precise. It was actually an eye opener for good life for me as a youth

q2: Children in Trans-Nzoia had started doing things which were not good at all, they had started using drugs and dropped out of school.Most of them drunk chang'aa until late at night instead of studying for their exams. One of the educated man saw these and he was not pleased so he formed a organization called Trans-Nzoia youth sports association (TYSA) since he knew that young people were interested in sports.Many of them joined the organization and enjoyed playing especially football.After one month he started checking their results at school.When he found out that they did not go to school he forced them to go and taught them the importance of learning.

q2:Rock mining has proved to be benefitting to the youth in our area hence enabling them to get extra income. the mining industry help the youth by creating job employment in the area thus also curbing the very cases of drugs reported within the region.

q2:The year had began well but a few people especially the youth were using drugs. It was on 1st January 2006 when (NACADA) National Campaign on Drug Abuse put a hand in & helped the cherishing world. More people in Lurambi went for the Drugs day convention. We were told the dangers of using drugs. Some of the people who had started using drugs had started having diseases e.g lung cancer which is caused by tobacco smoking. The rate of smokers has decreased.

q2:A survey conducted by national Agency for campaign against drug abuse(NACADA) It is deeply under influence of drugs.Youths are the most experimented in drug abuse.the NACADA survey also established that alcohol and tobacco are door for young people to start abusing hard drugs,like mandrax,heroine,hashish.and cocaine.So NACADA has educated youths about the outcome of abusing drugs The village of mine has been affected most than other parts of our country.This has led majority of youths are AIDS carriers and they are infertile so some of them have attained age to marry but they have fail to change their livelihood.It had also drag us back 2030 vision in our village.So i in deeply desire and arguing other organization that deal with health to visit our village to stop the catastrophe that has occured I know very well if police men arrest the drug trafficker they could have done nothing because the drug trafficker would give he /she bribe so that he /she might be released.I leave you with a proverb that says kill a worrier and give him a right

q2:Drug abuse is using drugs wrongly.People are know addicted to drugs and almost every one is getting introduced to drugs. Many youths use drugs and this couse diseases and drop out of school.This is atleast supposed to stop at this very moment Every day 25% people die because of lung cancer coused by drugs.We are not supposed to be fare for these drugs.we must avoid them. Liver cirrosis is another disease caused by drugs.Drugs such as bhang,heroen,cigarrate.alcohol and cocaine are very dangerous.Almost every one in the slums knows this drugs and their effect.Some one must come up with an organisation to fight drugs. Addicated people must be given support by every one so that they can stop abusing drugs.Drugs can kill without looking at the age.Allusinations are supposed to be avoid and this is because of avoiding drugs.

q2: Youth today face many challenges they live in a society where indiscipline, drug abuse, violence and irresponsible sex have become wide spread.The youth therefore need to learn positive behaviour and acquire life skills that will enable them to cope with these negative but strong strong influence.This life skills will enable them to to exercise self control,asssert themselves and make wise decisions.They will also learn how to solve problems and communicate with other people well and effectively .Joan a standard eight pupil, she was a bright girl.she was befriended by another boy and she became pregnant which made her to drop out of school.Her mother deceided to give her some medicine so that she could terminate the living thing in her stomach.She refused to take the medicine reported the matter to the child's Department.
