q2:We belong to one of the community which dwell in Laikipia county which is almost a semi-arid area. Sometimes the rain fails due to global warming. For that reason, the crops have failed. Animals have been dying of thirst and starvation. Fortunately, about three months ago, we got help from an organization called SWIM. The help included teaching people hoe to detect underground water. Most of us started digging wells. Some have completed and others are unable to complete digging due to financial problems and due to the presence of hard rocks. Those who are complete help people to get water for household use and to irrigate foodstuff and the tree nurseries so that we can increase trees in this area.
