q2:It was in the year 2009 when the demonstration primary school in Kaimosi area was given a letter from the public health department because they had insufficient facilities in place.The letter gave a grace period of 2months for more latrines to be built 5 for boys and 5 for girls.This school was the biggest serving a round 3 village with a population of a bout 16,000 pupils.The school administrator conducted western water and sanitation forum and requested for help due to this the organisation constructed 8 latrines in the school while the school constructed 2 more and the problem was solved.The school was relieved from the problem by the public health officer.

q2:Western Water and Sanitation Forum assessed the community needs in Kaimosi and it found that hygiene and sanitation is an issue. The organisation in the year 2009 , organised training for the water and sanitation commitee in Kaimosi. The assessment show that a great problem in the families homestead is poor sanitation practises and also poor hygiene practises. The commitee trained composed of 15 men and 25 women.After the training in each family the trained persons implemented hygiene activities like hand washing facilities, building and cleaning latrines, good drying rags for household utencils. The families trained were happy because they benefited in improved health and reduced prevalence of water and hygiene based diseases.

q2:In 1983 Cholera broke out within Matayo's division and this led to health personnel erecting camps at Muuchilika market on Busia-kisumu road about 8km from Busia town.. this problem ushered in right thinking women started a group called Daumbakana water project when started advocating for pipe waters to help solve the water nuisence. They received 49,000/ from netherlands 77% from from a well known international company. The project is very worthy.It receives funding from the Constituency development fund CDF and it has helped improve health and sanitation education livelihood
