Past are the days when he recruited grown-ups, but now days he started recruiting school pupils because they provided cheap labour. An alarm was raised in school parents because children were now neglecting to go school, because of the money they get and the many promises given to them by Mr Ben. q2: Slum outreach primary school is situated in the mashimoni village of kibera. It is recognizable due to how beautiful its built. There exists a sharp contrast between the school and other houses whose roofs are brown chocolate.
Despite all the positive mentions, the truth has to be said.Although it was started to serve the poorest of the village, the school charges fees that cannot be afforded by the locals. Many have found it hard to acquire education despite the presence a school.
Oftenly teachers are recruited on the basis of tribe and familiarity. Some teachers are also asked to leave early for home when donors come to the school.Plainly speaking, the project was started to help the poor but they rarely benefit. After individuals benefit from the school while they blindfold the donors that children are being helped. q2:Teaching is one of the most common and respected proffession in Kenya.People who are trained as as teachers take up a large responsibilities of taking care and instilling values to children on behalf of parents.Their is a huge challenge though because of the small number of teachers compared to enrollment of the students in school today.
Three young men from my village decided to show a heart of kindness and the passion they have towards teaching when they decided to join in a school and sought to help two other teachers in taking up lessons which they specialized at in the college. With no pay they decided to take up the duty after seeing the strain by the small numbers of teachers in the school. q2: It was in the rural area mostly the older men of women did not approve of boy and girls spending much time together since it was seen as idolatry and boys and girls were not allowed to wear clothes such as tight trousers for the girls and the boys were not allowed to go for girls unless they were circumcised. This to me was old fashioned and unacceptable to but luckily some European people came to the village and tried to make some changes even though it was hard to make the old men and women to understand that the generation has changed and at the moment many things are modified and others are yet to be modified. This triggered them to stop being on the old fashioned ways and turn into a new modernized ,generation. In their schools they introduced computer lessons with qualified teachers which made the pupils and students to be interested and by seeing this the elders also wanted to learn a little something about computer and to get modernized. q2: On one of my holidays which was two years ago, i decided to visit my grandmother who stayed at our farm house back in the village. I arrived well, and was warmly received. After a short while i joined a nearby local government school to start my holiday tuition which my father had said that should attend. When i went to the school on the first day i was astonished to find pupils as old as my elder sister still in primary school since i was the third born in my family the shock grew when i heard the kind of English that our English teacher talked during the lesson. It was he was mixing English with a vernacular language. After doing some research i found out that it has been so for a long time and this has been due to poor education lack of enough and appropriate learning equipments and teachers who lacked skills. When i returned to the city i informed my father about this and he immediately informed the necessary authorities action was taken and from that day learning has been taking place smoothly.
