q2:Initially people were dying at an alarming rate from HIV/aids related cases because they did not have correct information concerning HIV and stigma associated with aids and the rate of infection was also very high. But,through AMREF adn CARE KENYA this has reduced very much.They have been doing door to door testing and giving advise n what to be done in case one is positive or negative.They also provide condoms and other contraceptives to be used to avoid infections.They also provide ARVS to victims. People here are informed that being positive is not the end of everything but they can still stay healthy looking and live a normal life as though they were not positive through healthy living practises and taking of ARVS

q2:I am Purity khavetsa. My area is in Western part of kenya. Majority of people in my area have been living in reckless lives before not even considreing their health. They have been associating themselves in ill vices such as iresponsible sexual behaviour. The problem led to HIV/AIDS spreding evenly across. Lucily enough, a certain cbo came and gave lessons to the people of my area concerning HIV/AIDs. People realized its effects and majority changed their behaviour. On that day, a part from teaching HIV/AIDs,they offered voluntary counselling and testing centres. people became aware of their status, and thus to date the general behaviour has improved

q2:Awareness must be created about HIV & AIDS so that people living with Aids should live well and avoid infecting others.The government provides ARVS to already affected persons and ensure constant suply of ARV'S in all health centres.They constructed VCTs centres where conseling took place they upgraded their machinery system provides condoms for protection during sexual intercoses.They also tought people about the values & importance of abstanance.

q2: It was so painfull to accept the fact that i was HIV/AIDS positive. I could not believe the fact because to me that meant to be neglected by the society and also living as a corpse as many people have always put it. Because of the stress, my health was getting worse and worse each and everyday untill this neighbour of mine decided to take me Neema women group where i received counselling on how to live with HIV/AIDS. I was so much encouraged as they took me as their own. They also helped me access the Anti-Rethro drugs and today am living positively but happy, strong and healthy going on with my daily activities normally knowing that i have Neema Women Group as a family.

q2: I m a mother of four children living in Mathare. Among my children Is Mitchel Akinyi who is infected with HIV/AIDS. She is schooling at nearby school by the name Good Green Pastures. Am jobless person therefore not able to pay her school fees. This institution has greatly helped me because it educate and provide food for her freely. I still undergo several problems with her since she has to undergo medication. I kindly request for someone who would sponsor. My children to get clothes and also care for her health.
