q2:From ashes to beauty and from grass to grace is all I can say as I meditate and think about my life some five or six months ago. I had spent all the days of my life on the streets, sniffing glue and smocking bhang. It was a really terrible life which was quickly leading me to the grave. Today an here because of the Ojiambo's who adopted and changed my life so rapidly such that I for ones feel am living and not surviving. Today I atleast step at the door of a class and go in to study. This is a big miracle and all I can say is thanks to the Ojiambo's.

q2:Once upon a time there lived a boy called James. He was 14 years old. James lived with his father but sometimes, his father travelled to upcountry to see Jame's mother. One day after the father had his salary, he came back home so early that James was shocked. He packed his clothes and the shopping that he was to take to James mother. He gave James three thousand and told him that he will be away for at least one week. James agreed and he took his father to the bus station and came back. Immediately after sunrise he brought some girls in the house and they misused the money. The girls slept in the house. In the morning they were nowhere to be seen. James was left hungry, sad and eventually without food. Because of the high standard of life, he dropped out of school and became a street urchin. When his father came he was not there but the neighbours said they don't know where he is. His father looked for him for two weeks but he could not find him. He informed the case to the policemen at Kilimani police station who later him at Mathare slums staying in the garbages and dustbins.

I disappeared from to the streets in 2007 .Before 7 months were over,God opened a door when a pastor,in charge of Hope in Zion Children Center took me to this centre.I have had a lovely time there ever since, receiving basic needs and has turned into a real complete home for me.I am currently in school doing my best, filled with a lot of hope. q2:My name is Boniface.I became a street boy 5years ago as conditions pushed me towards doing so following my parents' death in the late 90s. I tried many options of survival which could not hold until i just found myself on the streets as a street boy. Life there was bad and together with many other children we engaged in very nasty acts. i was getting addicted to gum when i was approached by a caring person in 2009 who later greatly influenced my well being. She was a social worker from WEAEP whose main calling seems to be ensuring that the street children can be helped. She took me to their rehabilitation centre offering a lot of transformative guidance and counselling that has led to my envisaging of the future in a more new day.

q2:My name is Barney Just Buddy. I joined Tumaini miles of smiles last year 2010 when the home offered me a chance to stay there and go to their school. My parents are poor and unable to provide for us food, clothing and even the house we put up in is leaking. We are 5 members. To add on my parents we are three children, 2 boys and one girl. My two siblings disappeared from home earlier in 2008 and have been living on the streets. I also joined them last year but i was lucky when someone from Tumaini Childrens home met me at night at the market of malara. He interrogated me and decided to recruit me into Tumaini children's home. Since that time in 2010, I have enjoyed being part of Tumaini family.I get food, accomodation and clothing. I go to school of Tumaini and I now feel I will fulfill my dreams in life.

q2:Death is a monster that doesn’t need kind words to describe it at all. I have down loaded all its dividends in only a span of the last eight years .Both my parents perished when they were attacked during the post-election violence that empted in our country after the last general elections .The uncle l was staying with there after also died. was left with my grandmother who died after one year again .l therefore resorted to street life in kakamega town. A woman in kakamega in 2009 took me to work for her on her farm. I was looking after her 15 cows from morning to evening, milking them and selling the milk to a district market. But she paid me very little in addition to meals. Although she tried to help me to change my conclition,it was only to some extend and to a large one expheitative just because I ahd no education and long for a donar who could jelp me get a chance to go to school .

q2: The village was in a very deteriorating season. The months rains had not started and everyone was in a hurry to plough his/her farm. The fields were dry and the grass turned brown.People faced different negative challenges which made their lives wretched. There was no any food and some of plants were grown early before the short rains started withering.Animals began to die and sorrow took big of people's parts.Hunger gnashed in everyone's stomach for having eaten nothing for almost a week.It was discovered that dust particles and other factory waste gases had been released into the air and had led to global warming. The thoughts of everyone failed and everybody despaired.Life was by then good for nothing.Several months went by as people continued to suffer. Then the environmental conservation organization suggested that people were required to plant more trees to replace those that had been cut.The villagers responded quickly and worked tooth to nail to plant more trees.
