Husband divorced her and again got married with a young girl. Zulaikha returned back to her parent’s home and started her life alone. With the passage of time she realized that she has to generate additional income in order to become independent. She was neither taking much education nor learnt any skill. So she worried for her personal expenses, but she could not do any job. Zulaikha’s family had been living in Sundus situated in periphery of Skardu city. They had many cropping land for cultivation. But she had not been living in this family so she needed to do self-effort that would be called her own property. So Zulaikha became conscious about her like a burden, as her family was a poor family. One day she visited to AKRSP office to search of any skill or employment. At that time LEP (Livelihood Enhancement Project) was running in AKRSP. SDP (Sadpara Development Project) staff introduced her to LEP staff and nominated for Beauty Parlor training. As she had some know-how of beautician techniques and was doing some work at her home. After necessary procedures and documentation she and other participator went to Rawalpindi to take training for three months. After learning skills she started work at her home. She showed dedication and worked whole heartedly. So clients satisfied with her efforts. Her income increased with the passage of time; eventually she realized the need of a proper place for parlor where all necessary equipment and set up would be facilitated to the client. After three years she shifted her parlor into a market. At that time lot of markets had been constructed near Skardu city. In this way she mobilized to other women to start their own business in market so collectively they started a women market. Recently she provides employment to seven to eight entrepreneurs. In which all class of hamlets were doing their business. In her family she becomes a strong figure, whenever any family member need of money he/she contacted to her.
