q2:Mayungu Self Help Group has tried the much they can to meet the threshold for self Help projects. Started over 4 years ago,the young men and women in trying to have its members empowered economically, socially and even morally have stood a good ground. Their main area through which they find capacity to operate is farming.With West Kenya Sugar factory within their neighborhood,they get it right choosing sugarcane.Perhaps if they sacrifice more and keep this fire burning,funding finding its way in will enable this Group of vibrant youth to achieve so much for the community.

q2: I am Jacob Kakai, the Vice chairman of Tusaidiane support Group in Kakamega North District, Kabras Division. In our endevour to greatly change our community, is our quest to give it the dignity it deserves , we are packaged with the desire to upgrade its status both socially and economically through a youth empowerment approach on a specific life line of hope in farming and economic uplifting for our members and the community at large. Started four years ago, this Self Help Support Group is well on track to turn over all stones on our way to cause everything go the way we desire. We admire the achievements we have so far attained to this end, both for our members and the community at large. Some members in our team are ill infected and we are helping them in a special regard as well.

q2:It all started when some new faces started arriving in our community but no one knew what had brought them until they started introducing themselves as none govermental organization. But that was just to show people that they were NGO's and that they had bring help such as educating the youths on drug abuse,creating to help people on different activities in life. They were doing all this to certisfy their own needs and involve people in other dirty activities against the goverment. They did all this until people came to realize that the jobs they were promised were no more because no one was really employed and nothing really came in the name of help. After that no one involved himself in any activity because the faith and trust they had died.

q2:The person who changed life in my community in one way or another is myself- I am tree conservitionist and I like trees because I tree is life, wealth and beauty of a country i.e Good Environment. I joined a youth club where I learnt about tree nursery planting and good husbandry. Then after secondary school I started a tree nursery where I sold idigigenous and exotic seedlings to the community. I told them to plant more trees as it influences rainfall, it is wealth and also environmental beauty of our country. By so doing I became famous in 1984 I was employed as a factory manager in a coffee factory where I trained the community on good tree husbandry and coffee as a foreign currency earner. Tourists who visited the factory enjoyed seeing coffee beens being processed.
