q2: Its in the street of Nairobi in Huruma slums where you walk and find many people idling around some staring at people walking around others are busy in groups.Perhaps telling stories as others are hidden in corners sniffing, smoking or even drinking alcohol. This to some of them is a cup of tea as they are used to it,but what annoys me of all is that 80% of all those participating in all these vices are the youths, what does this ring into your mind that a young talented mind has been put to test and is slowly getting into it. Its for this reason that a group of young boys and girls here came up with a club. They all have one thing in common, the love and passion for table tennis. They meet here daily to showcase their talents, this place is full of all sorts of characters by the people of this place, talk of smokers, drinkers and drug addicts. But the good news is that by coming here they get to meet new people with perhaps the same interest as they have, the love of tennis they share their experience and help each other overcome the addiction. With a gym set next to it,the place has attracted most of the community members who are the youths, the latest development from is the set up of a kinyozi from where and the gym the once idle young neighbours are able to engage in some work and earn some shillings. This has reduced idleness,Drug addiction and made them realize the importance of healthy living and working hard. The love of table tennis is still on to them even as some of them find places where they can work at the end of the day they still come here, have fun as they share their latest experience.
