q2:Voices of Home started in the year 2006. it is a children band that draws its membership from the slum of Nairobi. It has six members who are boys. The band started because they are active members of Mathare Youth Sports Association. Their co-ordinator George Nderiu put them together as a band to see how they could work together. because they had a common talent of singing. They had to have a livelihood. They prefer to spend their time training their voices even when they don't have a show rather than engaging in social evils. as many kids from the ghetto do. They do music to express what they need to be corrected lie theft, murder, rape, poverty and bad politics. They have performed in many places and they have also won prices. Finally t hey finish by advicing other kids that what stands between them and fulfillment of theier dreams is themselves. We should all believe in our abilities and nurture what we are good at and always know that the sky is the limit. e can dream, but we have to chase after that dream.

q2:Mathare youth social Association is commonly known for promoting and embracing the youths and their talents. Its branch situated in eastleigh Kenya goes back to the community in the slums of mathare and huruma. It identifies the kids who know or have a passion of playing football and those that dance traditional dances. They do meet regularly to practice, to boast their talents they are usually taken to events to compete and also to outside countries like Norway. When in Norway, some get lucky and find people who offer to sponsor them in their education. My friend Phoebe is one of the people who have benefited from Mysa. She is a traditional dancer at Mysa and back in 2004 she found herself a sponsor since they have a conducive environment from where they can study together other than their homes.
