q2: I am a girl aged 13 and my mother Irene Akhonya is a member of Usife Moyo Women Group in Kakamenga central District. She has been together with the group since inception more than 5 years ago. For me to continue well with my education, The group has been quite instrumental. Mum has only been able through the support and encouragement she got from this organisation to persevere on and on. She has infact as a result been able to start her own school which now is doing very well- First the group sponsored her through workshops and seminars which opened her way of thinking, to dream big and to be more enterprising. She then got through the table banking by this group,money that she invested in small business of sugarcane growing. This later grew into a bigger idea to start a school through which she could serve the needy children in the society. She also has been able to access loans from local banks to boost the schools development.

q2: Youths at this moment dont have problems for getting money. Ushirika Self-Help organization gave youths a little work of collecting only gabbages and earn money for their needs. This organization has made a number of youths to be hardworking and forgot to stay idle. The organization has changed many people ideas and made them to be creativity to themselves. This youth group are staying in a good life because when they earn money they do start business and continue with their work which will still earning them much money for their expences.
