q2:Many groups such as women as youth groups have a particular vision, objectives as well as mission to work forwards. This therefore is a reason for the groups to be together and for the member to be unified in working towards their goals so as to realize their purpose and develope their community & themselves or change positively life of others. Many groups always fail to realize these as issues emerge and conflicts are experienced. Thanks to western water and sanitation forum another group called Ochingwa Wikhonye selfhelp group did not have to face such difficulties. This was because of their gender & governance forums visit to train them on group dynamics sometime in April this year. They were also trained on cohesiveness and ways of maintaining the group contact and together as well as how to handle groups finances. I'm happy to say that the group is now stronger than ever.

q2:A youth group which existed in our community was the road to restoring the lost glory by participating in several socio-economic activities. Initially got funding from one of a political aspirant interms of poultry enterprise (broilers). they properly managed it and it later stage sold off and this generated income for them. The money obtained was for buying and distributing the goats to the members as a plan. they bought these female goats and distributed to the chairman, general security and treasurer respectively and this created some misunderstanding among the members & executives. Later on reports reached the members that two goats died but the meat or money from it wasn't accounted for by the executives. this created a row between then members went and collected the remaining goat, sold it and distributed among themselves and was the last life day of the group.

q2:I can vividly remember, at most two and a half years ago when the great athlete Usain Bolt came to Kenya. He was there for a six week's stay. Even though I lived in an urban centre, there were still some ethnic groups in the rural Kisumu, better known as 'Nyalenda' which still embraced their culture. By so doing, they practised removal of teeth amongst some old people, even the youths. At times, the exercise would be so painful and dangerous that some people had to be rushed to hospital due to sever bleeding. This had to stop when the athlete was starting up a children's home in the area and learnt of the activity. This was very sorrowful because the victims looked very ugly without teeth. Almost everybody was flooded at the venue and this was an ideal chance for Bolt to discuss the matter. Since the athlete was very prominent and respected across borders, the people had to comply when they were aware of the disadvantages of the practice. Instead, they were advised to practice circumcision among the men instead of teeth removal.
