The group that supported us came up from an organization on NGO in town known as Wewasafo. They were able to train us and help us get and start a poultry project as a group. I am in the group. The first 10 members have a big share in the group. I saved and bought a motor bike. This helped me do alot. I bought a plot in town and i built a full flat for people to rent. q2:My name is Patrick Stima. I am a member of Youth Action Group. In Kakamenga central district. I have realized a complete turn around in my life in as far as perception on life in general is concerned. Initially my mind was only set on an office job.The so called white color, Where you earn a salary. but i learned that there is a more fulfilling occupation in terms of self employment. This was made more clear to me when i joined Youth Action Group 2 years ago.We have been exposed so widely to training opportunities and workshops which if there is anybody from whom they have blown out enough ignorance and foolishness, It is me. I have also generated an immense desire to grow in Business, to be more enterprising to remove all the poverty and lazyness as can possibly be.

q2:It has always been a delight to my life in reflecting the sweetness and joy of having become a member of a group that was forward looking and one with a future. The youth have a potential to generate more solutions to as many problems as there are in the society. Unemployment has for instance been nearly talked as we have embarked fully on self employment/ income generating activities that have rightfully converted our energies very productivelly. We see many a youth emulate us now. We see the extention of table banking which began with us now done even with women groups, because it worked with us successfully. I have undergone a great metamorphosis from unproductiveness to fruitfulness for the community as well. MESHACK TEMBA

q2:My name is Joseph Mukhabali. I am a member of Youth action Group of Kakamenga central District. When we put our minds together as youths in 2009, We were able to come up with an innovative idea through which we could enhance our economic status. We have since been able to equip ourselves and build our capacities in income generating projects especially business enterprises. Through a money lending programme, Members have been able to acquire funds with which they developed self uplifting and estamblishment projects. I have been a beneficiary in as much as i have been able to access such funds to be able to start a retail shop for over the last two years. Our greatest impendipent as youth in general is in relation to lack of support. We really need financial capacitation through any well wisher or sponsor,so as to extend our initiative to help the large commuity more fully.
