q2:The residents of Kefinco in Kakamega municipality had been facing shortages of water for a long time. Ironically Kefino which means water company started by the finish government some years back, has lost that glow that it was once known for. Having seen the issue a company that was contracted by the Lake Victoria North water service board brought piped water in the area and now our problem is as good as dead. Thanks to the partnership we now have a reliable water.

q2:In the small town which i was born,Butere,there is this problem where we are promised by the ministry of roads and local authority that they will repair our road but has to fulfill the promise. Our murram road does not favour pedestrians and other bucycle riders oor motorists during the dry season like the dry season that has been experienced in the last three months. We have been always told that it will be tarmacked this year but the year passes without any improvements done.Only tractors are send to dig the road and remove potholes or any rills formed by water during the wet season. When the wet season is in place,also transport is affected and it needs tractors to come and pall the vehicles through the roads.This interferes with transportation and many activities in the area are also affected this making thetown bot develop and improve economically.

q2: People have many problems in kibera and there problems are; they dont have food, others dont have clothing and shelter. Siweges in kibera are full and other are smelling badly leading to mosquitoi those area such areas people are suffering from malaria and other water borne diseases. One day an orgaization came all the way from kitengela, they came with rakes and other working iquipments, they started cleaning strench and rivers. when the strench were clean they went back to kitengela.These day lives in kibera is not so bad becouse the rain pushed all the remainings that remained to the rivers.

q2:One time there was a problem in Ebbiba village. The people in the community had been suffering due to a drought problem. They had lived in poverty and no one had an idea on how to solve a drought problem. The people decided to make their organisation to make a way forward on the resolutions towards the drought problem. They named the organisation Ebbiba unity organisation. They raised up issues and all contribution amount of money to their ability. The Councillor of the area councillor Peter Amulanda also gave a hand towards the project that was going on. Since that day the people do not have any water problems.

q2: It was a year ago when there was a water shortage in Sotik village in Eastern province. The villagers and other people of the surrounding area had to go for long to look for water and carry out their daily activities. The problem went on for very long time (about 2 months long). Then at one time a member of the village thought of contributing money to dig a bore hole. The other villages responded positively to his idea. They started raising money for the project even a fund raising ceremony was called up after the money was enough the construction commenced after finishing the village started enjoying the water which was not present.

q2: Small percentage of Kenyan land is covered by forest. Upto late last century when human being invaded the forest. They cut down the trees and either burn the as charcoal or use them as timber. This has made the climate to change and also destroying the water catchment areas. The government has put in place mechanism to curb this problem and with the suport of the green belt movement the situation is slowly changing.Taking back the natural beauty of our country.

q2:This is a challenge to the coast water services Board.They are being challenged by Kilifi county to ensure supply of water to all counties at the coast. The Kilifi county claim that the bard has disapropotionately supplying the essential commodity to other regions. The county has been getting a raw deal in the supply of water. Main water source fall within the county so the board is urged to offer support. It should be given special supply before some other areas are catered for.It is not logical for the water source to get low supply while other counties get more. We call upon the Coast Water Services Board to deal with this hindering problem.

q2: Drought is a serious disaster in Northern Kenya. This has caused many problems to the residents of that area. About three quaters of the land is envested by desert vegetation which are value less. The environment conserves together with the Kenya armed forces and St., John Ambulance visited the area and planted trees. Apart from planting trees the government also provided relief food, clothes and security. Although it was not enough for the people, Lake Turkana water projects also provided some little water for domestic use and farm work. Some of the people who were really after were transported to other fertile places. At this time the northern Kenya has started to see light and utilizing their resources such as 1.Their animals are healthy 2.Some sought of economic activity is taking place(herbal) 3.Fishing
