q2:Most of our children in my village are dropping out of school. This is due to lack of concentration. They are being reported by there teachers that they don't com to school more often. The problem is because they have had health issues in their family. After finding out as a community Health Worker. I gave them advise and reported them to nearest hospital for check up. Most the problems are due to poor health careless living and lack of knowledge on health diseases. But when I took an Initiative of teaching some of the mama's. They have improved both in there houses and resolved to normal ways.

q2:I went through one week training on (C.H.WORKERS) community health workers training. after this training we were told to go back home and train others on proper hygiene and sanitation. This seminar was organized by wewasafo an NGO in town. They said before we teach others we need to teach ourselves our children and do it in our homes first. I constructed household latrine 20ft long. I also constructed a dish rack to air my utensils after washing I was also taught how to take care of my environment and sanitation of which i did. I am very clean and also hygienic until my husband and any visitor that come in my home appreciates and does the same when he goes back.

q2: The health in our village in on another step. because the organisation known as the UgandaTraditional Birth Attendants has been in for promoting the health in our village by providing health services to the people like teaching the people proper hygiene, sanitation which has decreased the spread of diseases in the village.

q2:Only few percentage of our community population has access to an improved drinking water source,and this is because we did not have the facilities to prevent water.But thanks to western water and sanitation forum which visited our community and build dams, water tanks and installed them for us. The organisation taught us on how to treat the water by using water guard and also the shortage of water in our community ended.This enables us to improve our health by drinking clean water and now case of sickers is limits

q2:Community health workers for mwera sublocation are doping a commendable job in the community on matters related to health.It started last year and has been ensuring that sanitation in the community is up to date This initiative which is the government sponsored aims at raising the awareness among people in the community through continous training.There are on going training programmes for these workers across the district in Kakamega North District who in turn will be monitoring sanitation conditions as they advise people on how to improve.
