q2:Asset Based Community development program (ABCD Program) is a local CBO based in Kakamega town. Despite being in existence for only a few months, the organization has been very helpful to community members as it helps them realise their strengths, opportunities as well as the local resources available and at their disposal. This has enabled the community members especially, those within Bukhungu location to engage in activities that generate income relying on what they have at their community. Also, the organization has helped enlighten the members on importance of environmental conservation.

q2:My name is Jescah Adisa.My mother,Valentine Adisa is a widow and has for the past two years been a beneficiary in a programme through which hope has revised our family since our father died in 2001. In 2009 my mother was enrolled as a beneficiary of the sponswership of education and support through a monthly income of Ks 1500.It would have been a real panacea indeed but it is for only 5 years.It is ending even before I am through my secondary education.However thanks to the volunteer children's who enrolled my mother.

q2:I am the daughter of Julia Namachanja and i am in class 7 in Chevoso primary school.My mother Julia is a member of Jisaidie support group. Truly Jiasidie support group supports its members most of these ,members previously were grounded economically.Owing to their tireless efforts through which they invest in some income generating activities,they have greatly improved our quality life. I pray that this group grows even stronger to help me go on with my education so that i can become a pilot in future.

q2:Rock mining has proved to be benefitting to the youths of our area hence enabling them to get extra income but many young people have lost their lives in this mining area.We have been trying to tell our member of parliament but our tyotes were in vain after the K.B.C station heard of our story they decided to start a football club to make the youths have something to do instead of making up gang stars in the constituency.

q2:The vice chairperson of jisaidie support group,Mr jacob simwa is my father.I am happy for the work he is doing as a result of joining this group as it has really helped us as a family.As his daughter iam very happy that he chose to join a very helpful group which is a solution to all our problems.Before he joined it we found it hard as we could miss meals,clothes but since 2005 when he became a member and is its vice chairman,alot has changed we get the groups supprot through loans that change our self uplifting,income generating activities that increase our financial capacity.We had loans through our father to help buy animals and do farming investments which have graetly changed our shape.

q2:Water is life and if not well conserved and treated and possible caused death or can cause heath deterioration. In the village of Kapsabet, the main practised economic activity is pastoralism. Nyasare water visited that place and wanted to help the people of Kapsabet. People used to travel a long distance in search of water. There was no growing of cash crops ar food crop. Their problem of water shortage came to an end when Nyasare water project visited them . they constructed water wells, built dams and they dug boreholes fro water storage. the people of Kapsabet were happy that they had some hope to live. Through irrigation,, they grew cash crops and their income increased a lot.
